Natural Expression™:Medela's breakthrough two-phase
pumping program that offers an
initial rapid rhythm to promote
"Let-Down" and then a
slower, deeper rhythm for efficient milk
expression.
The Stimulation Phase
promotes the MER (Milk Ejection Reflex - let-down) by simulating
your baby's initial rapid suckling to initiate faster milk flow or
"let-down". The pump can be
automatically or manually switched to the Expression Phase after
milk flow has occurred.
The
Expression Phase completely and deeply extracts breastmilk from the
breast by simulating your baby's slower, deeper suckling for maximum
milk flow in less time. The
average double pumping time (both breasts simultaneously) is 5 to 9 minutes.
